Do not let the current Snohomish Administration spend 73MILLION DOLLARS on their massive leadership fortress!!
Please help me stop this project or scale it down to reasonable proportion. I am NOT okay with a new 40,000+ sq ft, $73 million(or more)city complex for our small town of 12,000 people. Friends, there is no such thing as "government money", this is OUR money. We do not need this and I am not willing to saddle every Snohomish resident(man, woman, child) with this bill for decades to come. We are asking our children and possibly their children to pay for this extravagance. We can do better in terms of accountability. Read More
First Street sewer and water lines and sidewalk repair project.
Please Do not let your current Snohomish "public servants" tear up Historic First Street and blame it on pipe repairs. No doubt the old infrastructure needs upgrade and that does take money, time and work. HOWEVER the current administration intends to completely tear up the road and sidewalks, replace the piping with new and replace the sidewalk with restructured sidewalk designs up to 20 Feet wide rather than the 12 feet we enjoy now and have for generations. Also in the plan is to narrow the streets and make parallel parking only, losing up to 40% of our available parking spaces and thus potentially 40% of business income on First Street and wait.... there is talk of parking meters!
There are much less expensive, much less disruptive options that preserve our Historic First Street. Lets talk about these options quickly before they start destroying it. Call your current city public servants and make them explain these decisions, then vote for me to make sure First St is repaired the best way for everyone. You pay for these projects and these folks work for YOU.

There is talk in current city leadership about changing the face of First Street, to develop Ave D with high occupancy housing above businesses- much like Bothell did recently. I am against it. I love Historic Snohomish the way it has been for generations... the town I fell in love with and wanted to raise my kids in; the best little City anywhere with the best small-Town values in Washington. Keep Snohomish... Snohomish! Read More
